Zipline Kingdom : Plan Your Visit






Safety First!

There are inherent risks in the participation in or on any aerial adventure course or attraction of which requires appropriate patron awareness, participation, physical ability, and dexterity. Patrons of aerial adventure courses by participation accept the risks inherent in such participation of which the ordinary prudent person is or should be aware. Patrons have a duty to exercise good judgment and act in a responsible manner while in or on any aerial adventure course, and to obey all oral or written warnings, or both, before or during participation, or both.

Guests who do not follow the rules of Zipline Kingdom and Jefferson Memorial Forest or instructions from Zipline Kingdom staff will not be allowed to participate and must leave the course.

Zipline Participant Requirements

  • Minimum age: 10 years old
  • Minimum height: 55 inches tall
  • Maximum weight: 285 pounds

Participants 10 to 15 Years Old

Participants 10 to 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult. One adult (age 18 or older) may supervise up to two participants (ages 10 to 15). Supervising adults must accompany the participants on the course and may not supervise from the ground.

Participants 16 and 17 Years Old

Participants who are 16 or older do not need to be accompanied by a supervising adult.

Participants who are 16 or 17 must bring with them a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian, as well as a copy of that individual’s photo ID. You may download the waiver here.

Physical Requirements

The zipline course requires a certain degree of physical fitness. If you can climb a rope ladder using your arms and legs unaided, we encourage you to give the course a try. Participants will be required to climb rope ladders, attach carabiners to the safety system, cross obstacles and run into zip landing zones. Not sure? You should not participate if you have a neck, back, or bone condition; have a heart issue or high blood pressure; are pregnant; or have had recent surgery. You have a duty to not participate if your physical condition will prevent safe participation.

Zipline Kingdom does not refund the cost of your zipline journey if you cannot complete the course.

Additional Participant Requirements

Participants are required to complete a safety training session on equipment and safety procedures to understand safe practices and the consequences if those practices are not followed. The activities on the course require a certain level of physical fitness and mental maturity. Safety training includes audible training and instruction demonstration in the use of equipment and safety systems as well as signs with written instruction throughout the course. Participants must be able to understand this training and have the ability to apply it on the course. Failure to follow the safety instructions and apply the training on the course may result in serious injury or death.

First Time to Zip?

Don’t worry! Most participants have never been on a zipline adventure. Our instructors are here for you and will give you a complete orientation. Your instructor will be right with you as you complete a test course to ensure that you are prepared for your journey before departure. Instructors are available throughout your journey if you need them. We encourage you to read the information provided on the website and call Zipline Kingdom (502-890-3535) if you have any questions.


The zipline course and activities feature varying degrees of challenge. Some participants may require additional equipment or adjustments to training and/or levels of supervision to ensure safe participation. While we try to facilitate all participants in their adventure, there are circumstances where additional measures are insufficient. For your safety, we may determine that the course is not suitable for some participants and will provide a refund. Feel free to contact Zipline Kingdom if you have any questions.

Deaf or Hard of Hearing

We encourage participants who are deaf or hard of hearing to complete the course. Training objectives can be communicated using visual aids, or some participants may prefer or need to bring interpreters or hearing companions as an additional accommodation. Please contact us before arrival or reservation to discuss your journey.

Blind or Partially Sighted

Participants who are blind or partially sighted must be accompanied by a sighted participant to ensure safe connection to the safety system and negotiation of the obstacles and activities. The level of support provided by your sighted companion will vary. Please contact us before arrival or reservation to discuss your journey.


If you are able to climb a rope ladder using arm(s) and leg(s) unaided, we encourage you to give the course a try. If you have a prosthetic, you must ensure the prosthetic is secured at height and during zip landings.

What to Wear?


  • Wear loose, comfortable, and durable clothing.
  • Shirts should be long enough to tuck into pants or shorts.
  • Your waist must be covered while wearing your harness.


  • Shoes with closed toes and heels are required.
  • No sandals, open toed, or slip-on shoes are permitted.


  • Hair that reaches past the shoulders must be tied back and secured.


  • Leave your jewelry at home or lock it in your vehicle.
  • For your safety, make sure any body piercing jewelry is protected or removed.


  • We recommend that you secure your glasses with a sport strap.

You may wear gloves if your hands are sensitive. Gloves are available for purchase at the Zipline Kingdom welcome center.

Making a Reservation

We recommend that you make a reservation in advance. Without a reservation, you are not guaranteed that space will be available when you arrive. Reservations can be made by selecting a date and journey time at

Zipline Journys begin on the hour. Walk-ups are welcome. If you do not have a reservation, you may inquire by arriving at Zipline Kingdom on the hour to see if there is avilability at the next zipline journey departure time. 

Check in for Your Journey

If you have a reservation, arrive at Zipline Kingdom (located at 11311 Mitchell Hill Road, Fairdale, Kentucky, 40118) 15 minutes before your scheduled reservation time. If you do not check in for your journey 15 minutes before departure, we will cancel your reservation and make your spot available for another participant.

If you do not have a reservation, you may arrive on the hour to see if there is a spot avilable at the next journey departure time. The only way to secure your spot is to reserve your journely

You will be asked to sign a waiver when you check in. Remember, if you are 16 or 17 years old, you must bring with you a waiver signed by a parent or guardian and a copy of that individual’s photo ID. You may download the waiver here.

Parking is FREE! Parking is available at the Zipline Kingdom welcome center (located at 11311 Mitchell Hill Road, Fairdale, Kentucky, 40118). There is additional parking at the Tom Wallace Recreational Area located directly across the street from the welcome center on Tom Wallace Road.

Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay Season Pass Holders

Your Kentucky Kingdom season pass entitles you and a friend to 50% off your adventure and includes reservation! Your participant admission is now only $22.50 for each spot reserved. Walk-ups are also available on a first come first served basis.

Cancelling a Reservation

We need to schedule instructors and support staff and manage all reservations at Zipline Kingdom. For this reason, we do not refund Zipline Kingdom admission charges, reservation fees, or the Kentucky Kingdom season pass benefit of a free first visit. if you wish to change your reservation, please contact us at least 72 hours in advance of your reservation time and we will attempt to reschedule your journey. If we are unable to reschedule due to lack of availability on the future date(s) you have selected, a refund will not be provided.

To inquire about rescheduling your reservation, call Zipline Kingdom at 502-890-3535 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at least 72 hours before your reserved time.

If you do not check in for your journey 15 minutes before departure time, we will cancel your reservation and make your spot available to another participant.


We are excited for you to enjoy your journey, but Mother Nature has the final say. The zipline will continue to operate in light rain; however, to ensure your safety, Zipline Kingdom may postpone or cancel a journey(s) due to inclement weather such as lightning or high winds. If we have to close the zipline and your journey is cancelled, we will attempt to reschedule your journey based upon availability. Please do not assume that your journey is cancelled due to weather and miss your check-in time. Restricted Areas

For your safety and the safety of others, guests may never enter restricted areas. These include fenced-in areas and landing zones, which must remain clear for participants. Only designated walkways, pathways, and trails may be used while visiting Zipline Kingdom.

Cameras and Cell Phones

Loose articles such as cameras and cell phones must be secured on your person if you take them with you on your zipline journey.  If you cannot secure loose articles, or they interfere with your harness, you should lock them in your vehicle or leave them with a member of your group who is not participating.  Zipline Kingdom is not responsible for the loss or care of personal belongings.
